Visual artist Helen Barry and Gwendolyn have spent the past months creating a programme designed for children that brings visual art and classical music into playful partnership. The programme takes children on a journey through music (from Bach to Boulanger), art (Chagall to Van Gogh), art history, and music history. With a particular focus on communication that is reflective of the core principles and approaches used in Visual Thinking Strategies, Gwendolyn and Helen help deepen learning through inquiry-based teaching. Discovering art, music, and in turn, themselves, children’s imagination and attention is engaged resulting in meaningful transformation. All children aged 6-11 welcome, accompanied by an adult. Only ten places available, sign-up is for both classes. We will have a waiting-list.
