Join Finnish born violinist Professor Réka Szilvay for an in-depth study of the wonderful Sibelius Violin Concerto. Being a native of Finland, Réka the finds the works of Sibelius, and particularly the violin concerto, intimately familiar. She will not only focus on the technical and musical aspects of this masterpiece, but will show you how to let the diversity of nature inspire your interpretation as it inspired Sibelius in his life and compositions.
This event consists of four classes. In the first, Réka will give an introduction and overview of the work as a whole, giving context and an outline of form. The following three classes, one on each movement, will take the form of a masterclass. If you would like to be considered as a performing participant for these classes, please email zen@the-exhale.com to register your interest.
