This event, specially curated for members, is a reason to get out of bed. For many of us, finding the motivation to get our instruments out of their cases, dust them down and start our practice can be a hurdle to overcome. Particularly during this time of the pandemic, when for so many of us, a lot of playing opportunities have disappeared. Gwendolyn sets out to offer insight into how we can warm up, both physically and mentally, in order to find ourselves fully enthralled and engaged in the ritual of practicing. She will offer limbering exercises that particularly benefit string players and scales to warm up. The result leads the participant to a state of generosity and kindness towards themselves, and an eagerness and curiosity around the art of practicing.
Please bring along: a mat; Flesch scales (or any other scale system you use).
