Dissonances in our lives come and go all the time. In most cases, we manage to deal with all kinds of situations to our satisfaction and can usually find our way back to harmony. But at other times we can’t, and that’s when we say words or do things, we then later regret.
In this interactive online workshop, running across four days, you will get an overview of the principles of Nonviolent Communication. Nonviolent Communication is an approach based on the theories of Dr. Marshall Rosenberg that helps you learn how to communicate in a way that strengthens relationships, cultivates trust, avoids conflict, and provides comfort in painful situations. We will explore together the elements that lead to dissonance and harmony and see how they are active in our relationships with a student, their parents, or our colleagues. You will get a taste of how to move from dissonance to harmony by using simple but effective tools.
This is a varied and highly interactive course, with each of the four sessions including elements of theory, as well as many exercises to practice and apply to your own personal experiences and situations.
N.B. For beginners and advanced students wanting to become a certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication, this workshop ends with a certificate of attendance recognised by CNVC.
