Mindfulness is the ability to fully engage with moment-to-moment experience. Through meditation and re-connecting with your body you can learn how to bring awareness to the present moment, relate differently with stress, anxiety and reactivity and savour the richness of your life.
In these times of uncertainty and stress, meditation can help us become more centred, aware and calm, allowing us to nurture our full creative potential.
Eliza has developed Mindfulness courses specifically designed for musicians, helping them to cultivate focus, re-connect with the body and develop more skilful ways of engaging with fear, anxiety and self-criticism.
Over 4 one-hour sessions, you will be introduced to the foundations and science of Mindfulness-based approaches and develop tools to apply them in your daily life. Through guided meditations, exercises and discussion we will explore different ways of training attention, grounding in the body and dealing with negative thought patterns. You will learn strategies for prioritising wellbeing and begin to discover what it feels like to bring more awareness to the present moment – whatever it may bring.
