Stefanie Braun has sung her whole life, lives with and through music and enjoys the varied collaborations and connections with wonderful, diverse people in the field of music. As a soprano, she sang roles such as Contessa, Donna Anna, Fiordiligi, Desdemona, Rosalinde, Sylva Varescu at well-known theaters (Washington National Opera, Zurich Opera, Salzburg State Opera, Bavarian State Opera). She has practised yoga and Feldenkrais Method for more than 15 years, is a trained Energy practitioner and has participated in various Classes in "Mind Mapping". Since 2016 she gives master classes in expression, drama, voice and body work, amongst others at Longy School of Music of Bard College in Boston, where she also helped developed a course for Musical Entrepreneurship. By invitation of Ticino Musica she co-created their opera studio this past summer. Stefanie coaches young professionals and managers in voice expression and performance skills. She mentors singers in regard to their repertoire and career and offers coaching in Resilience. As artistic director of a number of projects, she is specialised in programming, thematic direction and realisation.
Stefanie has gracefully accepted an invitation to The Exhale during a time when so many musicians and audience members are not in a position to engage with her in the concert hall or the classroom. She is donating her income from The Exhale to musicians without regular income during this pandemic.
