Violinist Franziska Huber has taken unusual paths in her search for wider knowledge. Following a typical career in classical music, her curiosity for alternative approaches to interpretation and improvisation have led to research concerning the influence of posture on artistic expression and movement. She develops projects which combine music, dance and performance. Franziska Huber studieds Dispokinesis in Essen, Germany, for three years. Dispokinesis is a holistic training in posture, expression and movement, which is specially designed for the needs of musicians. Through her daily work with musicians, she experiences how freedom of movement can be gained and stage fright transformed into increased artistic presence using Dispokinesis.
